Direct earth burial for cathodic protection of metallic structures. Cathodic Protection Cable is used in systems that protect metallic structures from electrolysis and corrosion. The product acts as a DC feeder cable to drain static electricity, providing cathodic protection for: Pipelines, well Casings, storage tanks, water towers, marine craft, bridges, piers/pillings, railroad.
Designed and approved for direct earth burial, Northtown Cathodic Protection Cable is available from 14ga. through 2 ga. Standard black insulation consists of low density, high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE) which offers excellent resistance to abrasion and corrosion from chemicals, salt and water. The material has high dielectric strength and remains flexible at low temperatures. All sizes meet or exceed ASTM standards B-8 & B-3, D-1248, Type I, Class C, Category 5, Grade E-4 & E-5.
